What the service is

CommonGround stores a markdown wiki in a private git repository we host, keeps its full history, and serves it to your own Claude sessions through a Claude Code plugin and an MCP connector. You can also keep a plain folder of the same files on your own machine.

Claude runs in your session, on the Claude plan you already pay for. We hold no model key and never run a model on your behalf, so nothing you ask Claude passes through us.

Your account

You sign in through Clerk, our sign-in provider. Keep your sign-in and any device token or connector you create to yourself; anything done with them counts as done by you. An admin of a wiki decides who is invited and what each member may do.

While CommonGround is in private beta, creating a wiki is limited to invited accounts. An invite link from someone already inside works regardless.

Fair use

Use the service lawfully, and only for content you have the right to store. Do not try to reach another customer’s wiki, work around a limit, or load the service in a way that degrades it for other people. We can suspend an account that is attacking the service, and we will tell you why.

Plans, prices and seats

Free is a personal wiki kept as a folder on your own machine and read by Claude Code. It costs nothing. Pro puts that same wiki on our hosted connector, so you can reach it from any device and from claude.ai, and it adds team wikis with invitations and roles.

Pro is $10 a month or $90 a year for up to 2 people, and $6 a month or $54 a year for each additional person. You are charged in US dollars. The current rates are also shown in the pricing section of our home page.

A seat is a person in the wiki. When someone accepts an invitation the extra seat appears on your next invoice; remove someone and the next invoice is reduced. Nothing is charged in the middle of a period.

Prices exclude tax. Where we are registered to collect VAT or sales tax, it is added at checkout and shown to you before you pay.

Payments are taken by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never to us; what we keep is described in our privacy page.

A subscription renews at the end of each period until you cancel it. Cancel any time in the billing portal, reachable from the Billing section of the app: the subscription then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and does not renew.

The trial

A Pro subscription starts with a 14 day free trial. We ask for a card up front, and Stripe charges it when the trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. The trial is offered once per wiki, on its first subscription.

Refunds

Ask within 14 days of your first charge, or within 14 days of a yearly renewal, and you get your money back in full, with no questions. The details are on our refunds page.

If a payment stops

Nothing is deleted, ever, because a payment failed. If a card stops working we retry it for about two weeks and tell you. If it still does not go through, the wiki goes read-only: everyone keeps reading and searching it, the local folders keep syncing down, and the history stays intact. What pauses is publishing changes and inviting new people. Update the card and writing comes straight back.

The same is true when you cancel. The wiki stays yours, it stays readable, and the git repository can be cloned and taken with you.

Your content

Your wiki is yours. We claim no ownership of anything you or your team writes, and we store and serve it only to run the service for you. What we hold and how to have it removed is set out on our privacy page.

Availability and changes

We do not promise the service is never down, and we do not offer an uptime guarantee at this stage. We keep improving it, which means features change. If we make a change that takes away something material you paid for, you can cancel and we refund the part of the period you have not used.

If we change these terms, we will say so before the change applies to a period you are paying for.

Liability

Nothing here removes a right you have by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights stand whatever this page says, and where a sentence here conflicts with them, they win. We are also fully liable for death or personal injury caused by our negligence and for our own fraud.

Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for content you lost that you had not kept a copy of. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Keeping your own copy is easy on purpose: the local folder is a full clone of the repository.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel or close your account whenever you like. We can end the agreement if you break these terms, or if a subscription goes unpaid after our retries. Ending the agreement does not delete your wiki; ask us and we will delete it.

Which law applies

Spanish law governs this agreement, and the courts of Spain have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, that does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you can still bring a claim in your own local courts.
